Portal Overview

The member portal is where people join Upstate International, manage their membership, sign up for language classes and events, and keep their account up to date. Members use it to log in, view their membership, enroll in classes, register for events, and update their profile and preferences.


What You Can Do in the Portal

Log in and account — Create an account, sign in, reset your password, or claim an account if staff created one for you. You can also accept a family invitation from this flow.

Membership — See membership tiers (Gateway, Crossroads, Patron), join or renew, view your current membership and expiry date, and apply for a scholarship or add family members if those options are available.

Classes — Browse language classes by semester and topic, see class details and pricing, enroll in classes, and view your enrollments. Member pricing applies automatically when you have an active membership.

Events — Browse events and conversation clubs, read details and dates, register for events, and see your registrations in your account.

Checkout — Add memberships, classes, or events to your cart, review your order, enter payment details on the secure payment form, and complete your purchase. You receive a confirmation page and email after payment.

Family members — Add family members to your membership, send them an invitation link, and manage who is on your household account.

Settings — Update your name and contact info, change your password, set email preferences, view billing information, and manage how you receive emails (including unsubscribe).

How It All Connects

When you join Upstate International, you create an account and choose a membership tier. After you complete checkout, your membership is active. You can then enroll in classes and register for events; member pricing is applied automatically when you have an active membership. Your enrollment and registration records are saved in your account and sync to our system so staff can see your activity and keep records up to date. You can view your enrollments and registrations under My AccountActivity.
